Season three of Being Jewish is here, and Jonah Platt is opening it with the most explosive conversation this show has ever had. His guest is Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas founder who became one of Shin Bet’s most valuable sources ever, known to the world as the Green Prince.

This conversation, recorded live at the Jewish American Summit in Los Angeles, went so far that LA Mayor Karen Bass was compelled to issue a public apology. A note before you watch: some of what Mosab says here is extreme, and Jonah does not share all of his views. But this is a man who has lived through things almost none of us can imagine, and the room felt it deserved to hear him say it in his own words.

Mosab and Jonah get into what it’s actually like to live under a death sentence from his own people, how his intelligence work saved lives from inside Hamas leadership, and the brutal cost it put on his own family. They go deep on October 7th, the accusations of genocide leveled at Israel, and where he thinks the West is getting it wrong on Islam and extremism. Mosab also opens up about his own faith, his complicated relationship with Christianity and Judaism, and the final message he sent his own father.

There’s more. Mosab explains what his life in hiding actually looks like today, why he refuses to give critics on social media any of his attention, and the claims he makes about who he believes is really operating inside American institutions right now. He also breaks down a piece of Jewish history most people have never heard, and leaves the room with one final message before he walks off stage.

His story became the bestselling book Son of Hamas and the Sundance-winning documentary The Green Prince. What he says on this stage is unlike anything this show has ever released.
