Purpose
Obtain underwriting to support The Wisdom of Dr. Ruth, a series of advice programs hosted by Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

Rationale
People of all ages and backgrounds have questions about their relationships with others. It is a common theme for advice columns, radio, and daytime television programming. A program that approaches these issues from a Jewish perspective is extremely useful for many people, and can also serve as an effective entry point to Jewish wisdom and values for people who are otherwise unaffiliated or loosely affiliated with Judaism.

Description
JBS is now the exclusive television home for an American icon, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, who is revered by Jews throughout the Jewish community — young and old alike. In a weekly program, “Dr. Ruth” addresses a range of subjects touching on human relationships, human sexuality, and her take on Jewish life today.

Funding Needs
For an annual gift of $100,000, a donor will be the principal supporter of the program and will receive exclusive on-air credit at the opening and closing of each episode for one year.
