Jewish Broadcasting Service is now available in the “Entertainment View” plan across Spectrum’s 41-state footprint.

Charter Communications has expanded the availability of JBS in the Spectrum TV “Entertainment View” add-on package.

The move makes Jewish Broadcasting Service available across 41 states where Charter offers pay television service under the Spectrum TV brand.

“Our goal is to provide programming that meets our customers’ diverse interests and reflects the communities where we operate,” Tom Montemango, the executive vice president of programming acquisition at Charter, said on Thursday. “This expansion helps broaden our Jewish-themed television options throughout the country by giving millions of our subscribers access to the networks’ news, entertainment and lifestyle content in areas where it was not previously available.”

The Jewish Broadcasting Service (JBS) offers daily news updates from Israel, along with call-in programs, discussion panels, children’s programs, holiday films and religious service telecasts.

“JBS thanks Charter for their continuing support in bringing our important and relevant programming to their customers,” David Brugnone, the chief marketing officer at JBS, said on Thursday. “As we head into the Jewish New Year, Spectrum viewers who live far from a synagogue or are unable to attend in person will now be able to watch our live close captioned Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services from a Reform Synagogue and recorded High Holiday services from an Orthodox Synagogue.”

The Entertainment View is an add-on package that costs $12 a month on top of a base Spectrum TV plan. The package unlocks more than 70 additional entertainment, lifestyle and knowledge channels, along with some sports networks, depending on where a subscriber lives.

Nationally-distributed networks in Entertainment View include BBC World News, Boomerang, CBS Sports Network, the Cooking Channel, Game Show Network, Nicktoons, Smithsonian Channel and Tel Aviv-based news channel i24 News.
